G O A L L B L A C K S !
After morning tea we all went to the hall for a special school assembly. Two of the All Blacks come to our school to visit us. They were Aaron Cruden and Wyatt Crockett.
We had to wait patiently for the All Blacks to arrrive. We were trying to guess which All Blacks it could be that were coming to meet us!
The All Blacks were interviewed by some of the senior children. They were asked some quick fire questions and the All Blacks had to answer fast and weren't allowed to pause! They told us they loved Mcdonalds more than KFC, and cricket more than netball. Aaron Cruden found it tricky to answer which All Black coach he liked more, Graham Henry or Steve Hanson! All the teachers laughed.
The juniors, middles and seniors had a passing competition to see who could pass the rugby ball the most times in 30 seconds. The juniors and middles threw 26 passes, and the seniors threw 30. Then it was the teachers turn. Miss LJ and Mr Gough threw 27 passes!

ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the sounds of the Haka echoing around the school. The All Blacks are an incredibly strong team and always seem to give us Aussies a hard time in a game. :)
I was very impressed with your group photo. The black flag with the silver fern frond represents a wonderful tradition in New Zealand sport. You were fortunate to have two member of the All Blacks visit.
